Lake Ridge Academy is a weekday ministry of Lake Ridge Bible Church for children 12 MONTHS OLD THROUGH KINDERGARTEN. We strive to create a safe, nurturing environment where your child will experience love and acceptance in a Christ-centered atmosphere. Our goal is to promote the cognitive, spiritual, physical, social and emotional development of children. Some of the ways we accomplish this are by teaching age-appropriate academic and biblical curriculum, demonstrating loving relationships, providing hands-on learning centers, allowing for fun and creative play time, making music and singing together, and creating new adventures for your child to explore!

Our Preschool and Kindergarten classes participate in many special events throughout the school year! Listed below are just some of the fun activities at Lake Ridge Academy....
Weekly "Music Makers" class (3's - Kindergarten)
Monthly Chapel with Pastor Van
Field Trips such as the Dallas Arboretum and the Dallas Symphony children's series.
Special Events: Pumpkin Day, Thanksgiving Dessert, Christmas program, Texas Day, Easter Egg Hunt, Pajama Day and Camping Day.
Our Parent's Day Out teachers focus on creating a loving and nurturing atmosphere for our youngest little ones, ages 12-23 months. The structure of this class is relaxed and fun, allowing your child to explore freely through play. Simple, age-appropriate crafts, stories, and themes are used to stimulate your toddler's learning experience. Our Parent's Day Out class incorporates school-wide themes into their day such as Pajama Day and Camping Day; however, they do not participate in field trips or other special programs due to their young age.
Bible stories are taught in every class and are accompanied by a craft or activity.
Age-appropriate academics are planned each month ranging from color and shape recognition for 2 year olds to reading readiness and pre-math skills for our Pre-Kindergarten students.
Preschool classes learn through seasonal and theme-based units.
Crafts each week highlight hands-on motor skills and individual creativity.
Our classes are set up into play and learning centers to help preschoolers use their imaginations!
LakeRidge Academy’s Kindergarten program is exceptional. We have structured our program so that our class meets 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays). Homework, reading practice, and projects throughout the year let parents take an active role in partnering with the teacher in all facets of their child’s learning. Our program is a wonderful option for parents looking for an alternative to a 5 day a week Kindergarten. Because of our small class size, the teacher is able to focus on small group learning time, giving your child individual attention and instruction as needed. Our curriculum is structured in such a way that students are given the opportunity to accelerate into first grade level work in mid to late spring. In addition to academics, our Kindergarteners participate in special event days, theme days, and field trips! Please call our office to find out more specifics about our curriculum and program. LRA Kindergarten is taught by a certified teacher.
